Autobiography
Who?
I am Neil Grogan (I know; too obvious?) and I am studying Computer Science at the Institute of Technology, Blanchardstown; which is a passion of mine. I am an Irish native (Born in the capital Dublin); and I have grown up most (all?) of my life in the County of Kildare (Beside Dublin). I’ve attended local schools all of my life; and I’m very proud to be from the little town that invented Guinness and became industrious for the economic boom that hit Ireland (Leixlip, that is).
Why?
Thats a good question. I have a website to promote my worldly view I guess; my outlook on life! I have always been interested in politics and political issues; it almost stretches back to my love of technology. Also I suppose it is to catalog myself so that future generations (and even myself) can look back on my musings; afterall I’m part of the first generation which has this power to so cheap0ly and wholly paint a picture of my life; why not use it?
My Presence Online
I’ve had my own website in some shape or form intermittently since around 1997/8; my first website appeared on Tripod (owned by Lycos/ Carnegie Mellon); but I got a permanent blog in 2004 and a home (dueyfinster.com - my first domain) in 2005. I reckon I was one of the first few thousand online in Ireland; my family joined Irelands’ first proper public ISP; so I’ve been online since late 1995/1996.
